I'm snowed in. :(

Today was crazy. People were getting angry at lunch today because we heard some of the other high schools in the area were sent home this morning because of the weather. My mom had left me a voicemail warning me about the roads, so I called her back and was like, "If it's that bad, maybe I should just go home now!" But she didn't go for it. My sister skipped out on her last class and came home with me when I was done.. there was seriously a foot of snow on top of my car, and on the ground it practically came up to my knees. So that was a fun drive home!

Now we're just sitting in the living room, been watching One Tree Hill and the OC on SoapNet, and eating a lot of junk food. haha It's supposed to be like this all weekend which sucks because I had a lot of fun plans!!! Boo.

Oh and my calc test today? Sucked. I hate my teacher. He always gives us a list of topics that will be on the test, so I memorized every little thing on the sheet. I knew every definition word for word (because he gets bitchy when we don't.. seriously, he made a comment once, when some kids used "the" instead of "a" in a definition) Why we need to know definitions in math I don't know! If we get our tests back Monday, he better be ready to fight with me if I get a bad grade, because I am pissed.

Anyways, since I'm probably not going to leave the house until Monday, can anyone rec some NH fics? In progress or finished, angsty or fluffy, I don't care. I just need something to read, and I've decided Madame Bovary is not it. LOL

Last night was the Maroon 5 concert. It was also game 2 between the Indians and Yankees. Jacob's field is connected to Quicken Loans arean where the concert was. And what an amazing night it was to be in Cleveland.

So first of all, yes I drove the hour to Cleveland and did not get lost. (Considering it's a straight shot up I-77, it would be pretty hard to miss it LOL) The Indians Game started at 5, but the show didn't start till 8 so traffic wasn't bad at all. We got there about 7:20 and we rolled the windows down so we could hear the game, it was awesomee.

We parked on the very top of the parking deck, and we could see right into the field.

There were SOO many people just sitting on the stairs in the garage watching the game LOL (The walls were all glass) It was so fun. Unfortuantely we were losing 1-0 and it was the 8th inning.

Soooo then we decided to go over to the arena and find our seats. They weren't too horrible, but we were pretty far back.

Sara Bareilles was first! OMG. She was so cute haha She was like, "I bet you all want to be over at the game right now! How are the Indians doing?" And we were still losing so everyone was like booing and she said, "Ok so we won't bring that up!" haha

She only did 5 songs :( Vegas, Morningside, Love Song, Many the Miles, and Gravity. I recorded Morningside, Love Song, and Gravity. Will post those eventually.

And then she said she was going to be signing CDs and stuff if people wanted to hang out. So my friend and I literally rann as soon as she was done to see her. We both bought CDs and were like 8th in line. haha When it was my turn, she signed my CD and I was pretty much freaking out haha I was like "I bought your CD on itunes the day it came out and I just love you!" And she was so sweet and said, "Omg really? Thank you so much!" And we got a picturee.

Of course I looked like shit. haha My friend was all dressed up and cute, and I had on jeans and a t-shirt thats too big for me! Oh well.

Then we got back just in time for The Hives. They were pretty good! So entertaining. I loved their Swedish accents ;) hehe At one point the lead singer said, "Cleveland Rocks. We Rock. So why aren't we in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame? Will you help us get in there? Does anybody know someone who works there?" LOL (I've actually never been to the Hall of Fame. My friend said it kind of sucks, but what does she know)

Then they were done. While we were waiting for Maroon 5, I had my phone out checking the Indians score. Last we had checked it was tied 1-1 at the bottom of the 10th. Then it was the 11th. (It's too bad I'm not more into sports, my phone is AMAZING. haha It updated so quickly, and actually showed the batter and where each pitch was thrown.. random side note) Then they put the game up on the screens, but we really couldn't see the score. Of course, they kept taking the game off to advertise more Verizon stuff.

But then after another 20 minutes, the bases were loaded and only 1 out. Then the next guy was out. Everyone sitting around us kept asking, "what's going on?!" The next guy at bat got 2 strikes, and 3 balls. (Still with 2 outs and bases loaded) Thenn they put the game back on the screen. People are freaking out. And then he got a base hit and we scored and the ENTIRE arena jumped to their feet cheering it was MADNESS. I can't even imagine what Jacob's field was like.

And then the light's went dark and the music started playing.

At one point, Adam said, "When I was like 9, I played little league. I was on the Cleveland Indians. And I was the worst fucking baseball player ever... which led me to music." haha

They were really, really good. Sounded amazingg. Played so many songs off both of their albums, it was really well balanced.

My absolute favorite was "She Will Be Loved." It gave me goosebumps hearing it live. The rest of their songs were incredible also, they sound so much like their CD. No overproducing here! *cough*Britney*cough*

I also loved "Won't Go Home Without You." It's my current favorite of theirs. Also, "Sunday Morning." Adam was like, "Play that riff everyone knows!" And you hear the first few notes and everyone just screams. Lovedd it.

It was one of the guitarist's birthdays yesterday. So Adam brought out a cake with candles and everything, and we all sang. And then he threw the cake in the guy's face! Aww. It was funny though.

I recorded a few of their songs also. Makes Me Wonder, She Will Be Loved, and a couple others I think. I promise I will get around to posting those at some point. They were pretty good quality considering it was me recording LOL

So overall, amazingg night. The show wasn't over till about 11:15, so we definitely got our money's worth. And I made it home without getting lost so yay for me.

Hey flist! This is coming to you from the oh so sunny Myrtle Beach, South Carolinaaa =) And one day my aunt and I are going to Wilmingtonnn!!!!! We're only 62 miles away so I finally wore them down LOL

Anyways I am slowly typing this on my cell phone to ask for locations of major OTH spots.. My other aunt says she's only coming with us if she can see Karen's Cafe haha So if anyone could direct me to the sites and maybe reccomend some restaurants, I would love that =)

I am leaving for Myrtle Beach (and hopefully a stop in Wilmington on the way home!) and will be gone for the next 2 weeks.

Andd I thought I would finally leave you all with my Brothers & Sisters picspam. Basically, I included everything that belongs to the main plot + a few extra things. I introduce all the characters. Read this and then start watching!! Anything in italics is from ABC's official description.

Oh yeah and looking back over this I realized I never went back and resized all of the pictures so they were the same size, so it looks a little weird, but hey I'm finally posting this so oh well!

We meet a collection of incredibly intertwined and somewhat damaged adult siblings who embrace one another unconditionally while striving to reflect the perceived perfection of their role model parents. In the days ahead, they will navigate waves of temptation, deception and grief.

These are the Walkers.

Brothers and Sisters follows the Walkers through the maze of American life today -- the pressures, limitless options and the struggle to grow beyond our backgrounds into ourselves.

The parents, Nora and William.

They have many children:

Sarah (the corporate VP struggling to balance motherhood with career) and her husband Joe, have two kids, Paige & Cooper.

Tommy (loyal son and seeming heir to the family business) and his wife Julia, are trying to have a baby.

Kevin is the gay lawyer cautiously learning about love.

Kitty (right-wing radio host turned TV pundit who has always been Daddy's little girl)..

.. works for Senator Rob McCallister

and I love them.

The youngest is Justin, (the baby of the family, grappling with war trauma and addiction). Much, much more on him later!

They like to talk on the phone. A lot.

Yes, those 5 pictures, are the same scenee! haha I lovee their phone conversations, they are hilarious.
All the time 2 siblings will talk and they'll be like, "Don't tell so-and-so this, but.." and next thing you know they're all on the phone yelling at each other hahah

The show explores what it means to be a family in the 21st century, and how these brothers and sisters balance their own lives as they strive to accept their parents as people -- flawed, contradictory and forgivable -- rather than just as a father and mother.

Anyways, the 5 Walker children are envious of their parents' fairytale romance.

However, William has a secret. (Actually he has many secrets, but I don't want to spoil too much.)

This secret's name is Holly.

Then one day, he's hanging out poolside with his granddaughter Paige.

But something's not right, so he sends her in the house to get help.

RIP William.

I guess the main premise of this show is the family discovering that their father/husband is not exactly who they thought he was.

Nora's brother Saul, knows many of those secrets and has tried to protect the family from them. But of course they all come out eventually

Just as the family thought they knew all his secrets...
One day, the daughter Holly hid from William reappears. Her name is Rebecca!

The Walkers try to make her a part of their family, which causes drama with her mother.

Then more tension arises when Sarah's husband Joe gives Rebecca guitar lessons. Read into it what you will ;)

Aside from all that, there are SO many other storylines going on. They will make you laugh, cry, and cry harder sometimes.

Tommy & Julia experience many problems when trying to become pregnant, and have many complications during the pregnancy, and even more after.
This storyline has made me cry the most I think. Seriously. She went into labor and I just started bawling LOL

This show is very into politics and the American family. Like I said, Kitty works for the senator, but before that she had her own radio and a tv show discussing politics. The show really hits home with some of its stories as all of us have lived through the time since 9/11.
There is one incredibly sad episode that flashes back to 9/11 and the days after.

Justin joined the army and fought in Afghanistan.

And his experience over there has led him to a life of drugs.
One day he goes too far, when Nora finds him unconscious.

Into rehab he goes…

But don't worry, not all of the stories are serious. Sometimes I can't stop laughing.

Like the time Nora and her friend smoked pot in the backseat of a car. LMAO (Which led to another awesome phone scene conversation with all the kids.. "You guys aren't going to believe what mom did last night!" haha)

Or the time when they decided to hold another "game night" competition with an old rival family.

Throughout alll of this, Nora and Holly form some sort of weird friendship. In a way, they help each other get over William and accept the fact that he is gone.
Of course, sometimes they remember what happened, and they go crazy on each other. LOL

And there are episodes that make me smile and remind me why I love this show, and this family so much.
They're so crazy, but loveable. I adore this last scene from the finale. It was perfect. It summed up their family in the best way. I was cheering. haha

That's just how awesome the mom is.. She was the first one in the pool!

Then the whole family was! haha

I want to be a Walker!!

I hope this makes you all want to watch!! I think you can watch the entire season on abc.com and I know the LJ community bro_and_sis uploaded the episodes each week.

So why do I love this show?
It's so real. It's not cheesy. It's wonderfully written.
It's extremely character driven, I feel for each and every one of them.
I've said this so many times, but it's hilarious, then it makes you cry --it has every emotion rolled into one.
And the Walkers are a great substitute for your own family!! LOL

To quote uponyourface: "By far the best written family drama on television. I never go an episode without laughing my butt off, and then end up choking up a few seconds later. I absolutely love these characters and this family to death. One of my favorite shows EVER. "

Pleaseeee watch. Get caught up before the second season starts!
It's great to FINALLY have an amazing show that is NOT on the verge of cancellation!!
I'm begging you! Come on, you know you need something to watch this summer!!!!

So my friend has my OTH S3 dvds and I have no idea where she is, I can't get ahold of her.
This is me pleading with someone to please, please, please upload the gag reel. Or at least just the part with Nathan "I'm Batman." That's all I need.

I have today and tomorrow to get this video project done and I have so much time left to fill!

I'm looking for examples from tv shows & movies that fall under one of these categories:

1. Someone who thinks they're better than everyone and believes they're almost invincible, but then is brought down.

2. Any scene where nature plays a role.

3. A wise person offering advice. This could be pretty much anyone that shares their wisdom, just as long as you don't have to know the backstory to understand it. The problem is I need specific examples. Like Whitey works but I have to pick a specific scene.

I'm begging you flistt. Please help. I found a great DVD ripping program and things are going well, I just need some more ideas. Especially from S1 & S2 of Veronica Mars, Friends, and Grey's Anatomy. And for #3, I really want at least one more great Lorelai Gilmore scene. I also want a good Seth Cohen scene that's funny, but falls under one of those categories. I could use some more S3 of OTH, but they would have to be scenes that a website has uploaded already!

It's my last project of the year, I swear.

Christina Aguilera Concert!!

I don't want to go to school tomorrow.
And I really don't want to study for my APUSH test.
And the AP exam is the morning before prom.
But I got my prom dress yesterday and it is oh so pretty =)
P.S. I want to marry this weather. Is that weird?

Anyways this is not dial up friendly!

So I didn't get any really good pics of Danity Kane. They weren't that great. It still felt like they were trying to "make the band" and competing with each other. They only sang like 4 songs though. I never watched Making the Band religiously, only caught reruns from time to time, so it was still pretty cool to see Andrea & Aubrey on stage. They were always my favorites.

And then The Pussycat Dolls.

Nicole.. Who went to Wright State! Which is pretty cool.

They were doing the original PCD routine, with the Pink Panther theme and everything. It was pretty awesome.

I know we're supposed to hate PCD and call them whores, but these girls are talented, let me tell you. I was all against them, but now I'm obsessed. They're dancing especially blew me away. As someone who has danced for 13 years, I was amazed. Their technique was incredible. The oldest doll, Carmit (the redhead), who is like 32 I think, did this one kick that I have seen girls my age (who are at their peak flexibility at age 17) tear hamstrings doing it. What I wouldn't give to dance with them for a day. Ha. Nicole is also a great singer, she can really hit some of those high notes! Most of the other girls sang backup, the only 2 I remember singing solo were Carmit, and Melody (the girl singing in that last picture) and they were pretty good too. So yeah, my opinion of PCD has completely changed.

And then onto the gorgeous woman of the night! Who did say she was feeling under the weather. Omggg I swear everytime I go to a concert the artist says they're sick or something. I'm cursed!!

The intro was awesome, I loved the video. They played the first track on her album which I think is just "Intro" or something.. Awesome awesome awesome. And then she appeared!

Hearing her belt out that high note at the beginning of "Ain't No Other Man" is something I am never going to forget. So pretty.

I think she may have been singing "Back In the Day" in one of those pics^

I can't remember what exactly she sang here either. I'm pretty sure "Makes Me Wanna Pray" and the jazz version of "Come on Over" which was so cool. It was a great twist on an old favee.

Candyman!!!!!

The beginning of her circus show. It was pretty cool how all her backup dancers came out dressed as people you see in the circus. A very big production. I love this song that she is singing, is it "Welcome" or "Into the Circus" or something? Haha Some fan I am! "What's behind the smoke and glass? Painted faces, everybody wears a mask. Are you selling them your soul? Well you'll be left out in the cold."

The guy she brought up for "Nasty Naughty Boy" was hottttt.

When my perverted guy friends looked at my pics they all freaked out like, "Whoaa what's she doing there!?!"

She looks good in everything.

Dirrty!!!!!!! Probably one of my all time favorite songs ever. I couldn't believe I was hearing it live lol

She had a lot of fun on that carousel. haha

Lady Marmaladee! Another classic. Such a fun performance here.

This one is "Hurt" I believeee. Oh so pretty.

I forget which song this is. I don't think I got any of "Oh Mother" because I was just mesmerized haha Her mom was in the audience though, she did say that.

I know the last one she sang was "Beautiful" though and it was such a powerful moment. The whole arena was singing. And at the end she had tears in her eyes and said, "Thank you Pittsburgh, until next time" and finished the song "So don't you bring me down today.." And then it was over and I was ridiculously sad.

So there you go. I hope you enjoyed. If you still have the chance to go see her, GOOOOO!!! That was by far the best concert I have ever been to and I feel I can say that with some authority now that I've been to a lot of concerts. haha I want to see her again so badddd!! Hopefully she comes back soon.

Okay it's not huge, it's sort of fun, but you really have to think. LOL

So I have this project for school, it's a long story and I have no time right now to explain it!
Anyways. I'm putting together a video of favorite lines/moments from TV shows.
I don't actually need video clips for all of them, what I'm looking for is what are YOUR favorite lines/scenes/moments/anything from any TV show!

One more thing, it's kind of random.. If you can remember any references to "Queens/Kings or Prince/Princesses" in ANY show, let me know! The only 2 I can think of right now are from Friends "My name is Princess Consuela Banana Hammock" and from Grey's "There is a land called Passive Aggresiva, and you are their queen." Things like that! I know it doesn't make sense, but I'll explain later!

Last week's stripping scene of course. One of the people this video is honoring, her favorite song is It's Tricky. And she loved Minkus from Boy Meets World. haha

And I laughed when I realized I needed this one just because of controversy.
The Brooke/Nathan "Are you going to the Halloween party at Tric" from 304 scene.
And any scene where Nathan is dressed as Batman at the party.
And the "It's okay I'm Batman!" from the gag reel.

Of course, if the S3 clips aren't anywhere, that's fine, I can rip those myself, but the strip club scene I definitely need =)

ETA: If this helps, the video will be divided into different parts: Tragedy, Comedy, Romance, and I'm thinking of doing Musical, which would basically be bands performing!

So I finally saw a trailer for Dirt.

Apparentlyy, Rick Fox plays a celebrity who sleeps with a hooker and then chokes her.
Best line is when he says, "Blackmails a crime!"

Ohhh the irony. LOL

I'm excited for this show. Mostly because of Courtney Cox!! I miss Friends!
I'm so glad it's on at 10 because that way I don't have to miss Veronica Mars.. Always thinking.. hhaha

It feels like I was at the movie theater all day yesterday. lol It was my last day babysitting my younger cousin Kendra, soo we went to lunch and a moviee. :)

I actually really liked the movie and I am NOT a big Hilary Duff fan. I think she's annoying half the time. And they keep saying it's not about the Hilton sisters, but you can't say they played no part in the inspiration of this movie. lol It's 2 sisters, one's really smart, one likes to party, one tries to be involved in the business, one doesn't care and is just glad she has money... The list could go on. Does it sound familiar? lol

And the guys in this movie were hot! That one guy who played Marcus on One Tree Hill was one of the male leads. (He was the guy that I sworeee was Kerr Smith when I first saw him.. The jackass in the school shooting episode who later went to Nathan & Haley's wedding rehearsal as a "changed man")

So yeah it was good and really funny. Definitely made fun of our society and what we value. So considering I had to go to a movie that a 7 year old could see, it was much better than I thought!

Then I saw Pulse last night..

I was so scared after that movie last night. lol It made me not want to use my cell phone or computer anymore.

The only reason I went to see it was because Kristen Bell was in it, and I think it's pretty obvious that I adore her. lol The movie was good. I just thought that something was missing in it, but I don't know what. And the editing was kind of choppy so the whole movie didn't flow together very well, but overall I liked it. lol KB was fabulous of course. And that Ian guy = HOT.

But yeah the message that our technology is tearing us apart instead of bringing us together totally freaks me out. And I've been very jumpy for the last 12 hours lol I keep thinking I'm seeing shadows and those creepy people in the movie are after me.

I don't do well with scary movies. lol

I'm so depressed it's the last weekend of summer. And I still have to do those gay reports for English. Ughh I hate life.

...It took me all summer, but I finally finished watching all the Michelle & Danny clips. In order this time. lol

How sad.

I was so attached to Michelle & Danny from the beginning. I mean I was freaking out (in excitement) when Carmen was pointing a gun at Michelle and said, "Give me one reason why I shouldn't kill her."

"Because she's my wife, mom." Hee!

The ending was soo heartbreaking. Well, not the ending, but the end of Joy's run on the show was sad. I stopped watching after she left because I don't like the actress who took her place. But anyways, their last scene together killed me. And the fact that they didn't even know it was their last scene together? :(

And as everyone knows, I tend to talk to the television a lot. lol I already knew how they ended up, but I was hoping that maybe something changed in the last 6 years? I kept screaming at Michelle because I was mad at her for leaving town. And then Danny was whoring it up with that blonde.

I knew there was a reason why I had never watched the end, I could never bring myself to watch them before because I knew how sad it would be. :( I'm depressed now. I want JL & PAS to work together again! Their interviews always make me laugh, and if 2 people can have that much chemistry on paper.. you can only imagine how well they worked together!

I got my schedule today but it was all messed up. They didn't put my theology classes on there, which I really didn't mind though. lol So I had to go get that changed. Ugh I can't believe I'll be back in school next week, this year is going to suck.

so insanely tired again...

So I just spent the last hour staring at Jackie's pics. lol Too much prettiness. And her commentary on Rach-ho is sooo great!! If you haven't seen them yet, you should definitely go over to her journal. Sigh. I wish I could have been there. Or San Diego. But we won't go there again!

Teddy Geiger was awesome last night. He's adorable. I'm in love with him now. lol He's actually better than I thought he would be, he really has a great voice. And at the end, his little brother came out and played the drums it was SO adorable., and he was really good! When he finished he went up to the microphone and was like, "I learned from the best, my brother." Awwww. So yeah, it was a lot of fun.

Anddd I saw Step Up the other night. Omg it's my new favorite movie.

First of all the soundtrack is AMAZING. I finally got it yesterday and I'm obsessed, I can totally see myself doing routines to almost every song on the CD. Each song was placed perfectly in the movie which made it so much better. Not to mention I was dancing in my seat for the entire movie I think lol The choreography was so incredible too! And at one part, the girl was yelling out a bunch of ballet terms and I was like, "Ahh I know how to do all that!" So yeah, I felt special.

Channing Tatum is fucking hott. And please don't say he's gay! lol I doubt it's even true, but if it is, I won't want to hear it.

It reminded me a lot of Save the Last Dance/Honey/Hardball. lol I don't want to give it all away, but if you love those movies like I did, you should definitely see this one. I'm trying to convince my sister to go with me again lol

ETA: Ahhh I just saw these 2 pictures.. LMAO at the first one with Rach-ho! Walk away Joy, walk away! And Dino is in the second one! Ahaha they're both like wtf? They're from the CW11 site..

Ugh. I hate my mother.

It's my last full week of summer and what does she decide to do? Remodel the kitchen. So that means very loud hammers and drills at 8 in the MORNING. And I don't get to sleep in anymore!

Not fun.

The new JLs pics are hott. lol They are too freaking adorable. And I know I'm the millionth person to say this, but when fans come out to "meet Nathan & Haley!" they really don't want to see their significant others. Seriously. It kind of ruins the image of their fictional relationship if their (somewhat annoying) real life husbands/girlfriends are standing right there.

But whatever. The JLs are love. Period.

I finally found a new layout I like! The only thing I need to fix now is my friends page, the links at the top move around, but it's not a big deal.

I really wish I could be in NY or San Diego today. I would kill to meet James, Joy, and/or Jason!!! Hope everyone has fun, and take a lot of pictures for the people stuck in Ohio!!
